Staying at Quirk was one of my favorite parts about Richmond! The hotel was lovely in every way imaginable and the minute you walk through the doors, you become a part of Richmond’s rich culture. The lobby dazzles with touches of classic and modern, and the staff is welcoming and accommodating. Modern art, hues of pink, and vintage charm line every surface of this historical building. As if the beauty wasn’t enough, Quirk has an elegant courtyard, art gallery, boutique shop, fitness center, bike rental, and lively Rooftop Bar making it far surpass an average hotel stay. It’s also pet-friendly!
The dining is just as lovely as the hotel itself. the As soon as you walk in, there’s the cutest coffee bar serving organic coffee from a local roaster! Quirk’s restaurant, Maple and Pine, has a locally-inspired menu of American fare and delicious desserts. I highly recommend the wild King salmon with smoked potatoes, fennel puree, radish, & trout roe…and of course, carrot cake for dessert!
The room we stayed in was super spacious and bright with large windows, high ceilings, a modern bathroom, and the most comfortable bed. We had a street view and could see Graffiato (a delightful Italian restaurant) from our window. Our RVA stay was so busy, and I looked forward to getting back to the hotel, ordering some hot organic tea, and turning on the TV.
Quirk definitely makes the list of best places I’ve ever stayed. It makes you feel like you’re in a boutique hotel in NYC. From sipping on a cocktail crafted with local ingredients and enjoying a delightful culinary experience from Maple and Pine to getting the best night’s sleep of my life, everything about our stay was amazing!
